Review Policy

I love, love, LOVE to read. I’ll read anything, me. Right now I’m on a crime kick and I am definitely not adverse to reading stuff by unpublished, or lesser-known authors. If fact, I would enjoy this a lot!

Basically, I have one rule: I will read virtually anything you throw at me – PROVIDED IT GRABS MY ATTENTION. It’s really that easy.

If you think you’ve got a great book for me to read, awesome. If you want me to give you an impartial review? Even more awesome. If you want to send me your book in order for me to do that, that’s even better. I will give you an impartial review for free provided you give me a copy of the book in ebook format (although if you want to send me a paperback book that’s completely awesome too) and I can then also post said review on Amazon, Goodreads, NetGalley or wherever you like, as well as on this website.

But remember: please please please run this by me first. I love to receive books to review (both in e-book form or in paperback), but I do not have time to read every single book that is sent my way (studying for a Masters, here!) so it’s only polite if you send me an email or a message on here first. At this stage, I’m almost guaranteed to say yes, but it’s best to check first.

You can reach me at: or by commenting on any of the posts on the website.

In your message, tell me a little about yourself and your book, and why you think I should read it, and we can go from there.

Things I need to know about a book before I’ll read it:

  • Title
  • Author’s name (a pseudonym is fine)
  • Brief synopsis/blurb. What would you put on the back of the book? Sell it to me!
  • Any other information you think I’d like to know.
  • E-book or hard-copy? I will read either, but obviously if you send a paperback we’ll have to factor in the time it takes for the book to reach me.

Side note: If there’s a published/famous/oh-my-god-they’re-making-a-movie-out-of-this-and-it’s-so-amazing book you think I should read, by all means go ahead and tell me about that as well. I love a good recommendation.

    Hi Fran,
I’d love you to consider reviewing my rural detective mystery Bells On Her Toes. It is based on a fictional country estate owned by the Earl of Ditchburn. While I touch on countryside issues such as badger culls and fracking and the annoying problem of dead bodies it is full of quirky colourful characters and my aim is to entertain.
Published by a small indi press it is professionally edited and has received several 4 and 5 star reviews including five stars from Readers Favourite.
I can send you a mobi or pdf copy.
I have given the amazon link below so you can have a quick look before deciding.
If you are interested or need more details please e-mail me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
